While a lot has been written over the month by industry professionals on the supply chain attack involving SolarWinds – now called the Sunburst Attack – we are still grappling with the thought as to how such a well planned attack was crafted and executed with precision.
It is quite unlikely that we could have immediate answers to all those questions that have been raised over various forums, so far. The larger question still remains to be answered is at what stage the malicious code could have made its way into the SolarWinds software – well that is something for the investigators to ponder over.
